What was the toughest time of your professional life ?
Garments Industry is a high pressure place to work in to begin with. I compare it to the Wall Street. We work day and night to meet our deadlines to keep our clients happy. The nature of work relationship between us and the client go from great to worse in a matter of days.
For me the hardest time at work was when a Major Canadian Customer, I was dealing with declared bankruptcy. It was particularly very difficult time on me as the company had pending orders of over Rs.20 Million with them.
Alhamdullilah, thanks to the support of the Merchandising, Production and Fabric team, we were able to come up with a strategy that allowed us to use the dyed fabric we made for the Canadian Company in to our other customer orders and avoid the financial catastrophe!
